This product contains $10 face value of pre-1965 Walking Liberty half dollars, and each $10 in face value contains approximately 7.15 ounces of pure silver. The coins are circulated so they will show signs of wear and vary in condition.
Investing in U.S. 90% constitutional silver coins is one of the most popular ways of purchasing physical silver as it is official US currency, and is typically available at very low premiums over spot. Since Pre-1965 official silver currency was minted in small fractional denominations, 90% silver is often thought to be the ideal form of silver for monetary use should the financial system collapse.
Walking Liberty Half dollars are popular with collectors and investors alike. “Walkers,” as they are often referred to, were minted from 1916-1947. The classic image of the Walking Liberty has continued on the US Silver Eagle coins.
The reverse of the Silver Barber Half Dollar is the depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States, which is based upon the Great Seal of the United States of America. It features the national shield on the eagle’s chest, a cluster of 13 stars above, an olive branch in one hand, and arrows in the other.
All 90% Silver Barber Half Dollar Coins were struck by the US Mint at four of its minting locations from 1892 to 1915. Coins struck by the Denver Mint, New Orleans Mint, and San Francisco Mint feature mint marks on the reverse, while Philadelphia Mint coins bear no mint marks.
